In a city of 12,500 on the eastern edge of a major metropolitan area, the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is ideally located. The Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) International Airport is just 40 minutes away.

Founded in 1874, UW-RF is a coeducational, public university with strong programs in the arts and sciences; education; business and economic; and agriculture, food and environmental sciences. The campus and city provide everything you need within walking distance, including shopping, a movie theater, dining, recreation and more.

About 5,800 students call River Falls home during the regular school year. The faculty-student ratio is 19:1, and the faculty is committed to undergraduate instruction. Professors teach all classes, labs, and discussions. There are no teaching assistants.

Each year, typically 100 students and scholars from more than 20 countries attend the University.

The city of River Falls is situated near a nationally protected Scenic Riverway and a nationally renowned Trout Fishing Stream traverses campus.
