Central Wyoming College is a comprehensive community college located in Riverton (population: 10,050) near the confluence of the Big and Little Wind Rivers in Fremont County. While the main campus is located in Riverton, CWC has off-campus sites in Jackson, Lander, Thermopolis, Dubois and the nearby Wind River Indian Reservation. The college also delivers college coursework nationwide via a variety of distance delivery methods.

Why CWC

  • Low total costs. Unlike many colleges and universities in the U.S., Central Wyoming College's tuition is extremely low. Estimated costs for tuition, housing, meals, books and fees for one academic year are only $9832(US).
  • Summer Intensive English Institute (ESL).
  • Dormitory rooms/apartments with a basic meal plan as low as $320/350 a month.
  • The Food Court, located in the Lowell A. Morfeld Student Center, prepares 17 meals a week. The Food Court is also open 7 a.m. through 6:30 p.m. continuously for snack items, fruits, salads and drinks, and will provide special menus for those with dietary restrictions.
  • Small class size. Academic class average 14-16 students.
  • Modern facilities and plenty of computers. CWC prides itself on its technological advancements. All computers are top-of-the-line and high speed. There are over eleven computer labs for student use on campus.
  • Fun, enthusiastic teachers. CWC loves having international students. We believe they are a tremendous asset to our classes, college life, and the community in general.

Admissions Information

Students who are neither citizens nor permanent residents of the United States are welcome to apply for admission. Once you have completed all application forms you will be issued an I-20.

These are the requirements for Admission:

  • CWC application form and a picture of yourself.
  • Guarantee of Support Form or a certified bank statement indicating that you, your family, or your sponsor, are able to provide you with a minimum of $9832 in United States currency for each year that you are in school. (Please note that actual living expenses will depend on your lifestyle, and the total expenses might be lower than or exceed $9832).
  • A health form which is signed by an English-speaking physician.
  • A housing application and $100.00. For more informationon the housing available at CWC, please visit the CWC Student Housing page.
  • Original high school transcripts, with English translation.
  • Official copy of your TOEFL score. Our TOEFL requirement for foreign students is a computer-based score of 175 (500 for paper version). CWC's institution code is 4115. Please have your TOEFL score sent directly to us. Students from English speaking countries may waive this requirement with letters of recommendation. Please contact the International Students Advisor for more information.
