of Accounting, Finance and Law
The mission of our department is to prepare students for responsible
careers in accounting, finance, and other business related professions.
The department offers majors in accounting and finance.
The Accounting
major is designed to:

Provide
an educational experience that will prepare students for a wide
range of career opportunities.

Provide a challenging
curriculum that addresses accounting content and the development of
professional skills and attitudes.

Prepare students for the
CPA examination.

Provide opportunities for
students to demonstrate professionalism and their ability to take
personal responsibility for their success.

Develop students who will
have the appropriate knowledge and skills to perform in today's
global marketplace.
The
Finance major is
designed to:

Provide
students with technical skills and knowledge in the areas of
banking, investments, capital management, cash management, real
estate, and insurance.

Provide an educational
experience that will prepare students for a wide range of career
opportunities.

Provide a challenging
curriculum that addresses finance content and the development of
professional skills and attitudes.

Develop students who will
have the appropriate knowledge and skills to perform in today's
global marketplace.

Challenge students to
understand, critically evaluate, and communicate current issues in
the field of finance.
In addition to our majors, the
department offers classes in business law. Our law offerings include
Legal Environment of Business, Employment Law, Law of Commercial
Transactions, and Law of Business Organization.
