Evergreen Valley College is a community college located in the eastern foothills of San Jose, California. The campus is spread over an area of 175 acres. It was founded in the year 1975. EVC enrolls more than 8, 000 students annually from over 70 countries. The rich culture of the college makes it one of the most diverse student bodies within the California Community College System. The college offers many degrees and certificates to the students in several fields of study. The college infrastructure includes classrooms, labs for biological sciences and nursing education programs, a well stocked Library, and the Montgomery Hill Observatory. The sports teams of EVC participate in a variety of sports. Their official mascot is the Hawk.
