Santa Monica College, or SMC, is a public community college located in Santa Monica, California. The college was originally founded in 1929 as the Santa Monica Junior College. It enrolls more than 25, 000 students in over 90 fields of study. SMC is ranked number one among California's community colleges in transfers to the University of California, University of Southern California, and Loyola Marymount University.

Santa Monica College offers a variety of occupational certificate programs in fields which include accounting, fashion design, office information systems, and entertainment technology. It is the home of KCRW (89. 9 FM), a leading public radio station in the US.

Santa Monica College fields more than 15 sports, and competes in the Western State Conference. The mascot for SMC is Pico the Corsair, and the sports teams are known as the Corsairs.
