Shasta College, a two-year community college located in Redding, California, was founded in 1950, and dedicated by President Harry Truman. The college enrolls more than 7, 000 students and offers a wide variety of transfer-level and pre-transfer-level classes and programs in various fields of study including social studies, art, physical education, language arts, and science. It also offers an array of vocational programs including ones in nursing, fire technology and welding.

Shasta College has an athletic department that offers numerous sports programs. The school mascot is a Knight and the sports teams are nicknamed the Knights.
