NURSING DEPARTMENT
As the Southeastern Colorado Center for Nursing, the Department of
Nursing's mission
is to prepare today's nursing student to be tomorrow's competent and
caring professional nurse.
We want to be your bridge to the future in the dynamic ever-changing
profession of nursing, whether you are a new student just entering the
field or a practicing RN. We are committed to your ability to succeed in
our program as well as your need for a challenging and strong
educational environment.
Small class sizes will ensure personal attention and strong sharing with
peers. A variety of teaching strategies are implemented and progress is
closely monitored with one on one advising.
Faculty in the Department of Nursing believe that a holistic synthesis
of person, health and environment is the focus for professional nursing.
Education at the university level is the ideal foundation for
development of the professional nurse.
A nursing degree from the CSU-Pueblo will make you proud!
Department Goals:
Provide quality-learning experiences for nursing students that prepare
graduates for practice as competent, caring, ethical and accountable
professional nurses.
Maintain approval of the Colorado Board of Nursing and national
