The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, also known as UCCS, is a campus of the University of Colorado System, the state university system of Colorado. The U. S. News ranked UCCS as the seventh-best public regional university in the West. The university enrolls more than 6, 000 undergraduate students and over 1, 400 graduate students. UCCS offers a wide variety of degrees and programs through the following academic divisions:

UCCS'sports teams compete in the NCAA Division II School in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). Their official mascot is the mountain lion.
