Study at University of Connecticut Stamford

The University of Connecticut, Stamford is abbreviated as UConn. It is a public, land grant university of the State of Connecticut. The Stamford Campus of UConn was established to provide education for the Korean War-return GIs in 1951. Undergraduate and graduate degree programs are offered at the university. UConn athletic teams compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1-A level sports. The athletics teams at UConn are nicknamed as the Huskies. The teams participate in sports including basketball, soccer, ice hockey, baseball, tennis, swimming, cross country and football. UConn offers financial aid to the students.
