Study at Broward Community College


Broward College, formerly known as "Broward Community College", was established in 1959 by the Florida Legislature. BCC confers Associate in Arts, Associate in Science and Associate in Applied Science degrees and certificates to its graduates. It also offers a variety of Continuing Education programs and courses.

BCC offers flexible learning alternatives and dual-Enrolment programs for high school students. The college has three campuses and a variety of educational centres located throughout Broward County. The campuses are:

  • A. Hugh Adams Central Campus
  • Judson A. Samuels South Campus
  • North Campus
BCC has six major sports teams. The college offers special scholarship to members of the athletic teams. Some of the college graduates have gone on to become famous indluding: Dr. Rita Mae Brown, author, poet, essayist, and screenwriter; LauRen Merola, Miss Pennsylvania USA 2008; and Johnathan Walton, Emmy award winning reporter.
