What do students say about the ELI?

United States Universities, Colleges and Schools When I first arrived at the ELI, I knew no English. The ELI was the place that provided me with the skills to communicate in a culture that was different from my own. I now feel comfortable talking to Americans. My advice to all students at the ELI is to find opportunities outside of class to practice English. The ELI gives us the tools that we must use everyday. It is up to us to use them. Before I came to the USA, I knew nothing of other cultures; at the ELI I had opportunities to meet and became friends with students from all over the world. Now that I am a student at USF, I have come to appreciate that my best teacher was my writing teacher at the ELI.

Seong Min, Korea.

United States Universities, Colleges and Schools I believe the ELI is a great place to study English, especially if you are planning to continue your education in the United States.   At the ELI I learned the necessary skills to perform well at an American university, and also I learned a lot about life in the United States.   The ELI schedules several activities throughout the semester that are really fun and not to be missed.   Moreover, it is a great place to meet with interesting people who come from diverse cultures.   I really enjoyed my time at the ELI, that is why I am still around.
