Study at Columbus State University

Columbus State University or CSU is a four year public university, located in Columbus, Georgia. It was originally founded as Columbus College in 1958. It received university status in 1996. The main campus is located in midtown Columbus while the other smaller RiverPark campus is located in the downtown area.

CSU offers more than 75 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in various fields of study. These degrees and programs are managed by five colleges within the University. The colleges are:

  • College of Arts and Letters
  • College of Education
  • College of Science
  • D. Abbott Turner College of Business
  • University College
The official University newspaper is known as the Saber. The sports teams of CSU are known as the Cougars and they compete in NCAA Division II men's and women's athletics, including softball, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf and cross country.
