Founded in 1906, Georgia Southern University is a public co-educational regional research university located in Statesboro, Georgia. GSU offers more than 120 bachelor's degree, masters degree, and Doctorate programs in eight colleges. They are:

The Recreation and Activities Center is a massive complex that includes an area for weight lifting, an indoor track, two dance studios, equipment for yoga, several racquetball and basketball courts, and an indoor climbing wall.
GSU's athletic teams are known as the Eagles. They compete in NCAA Division I FCS as members of the Southern Conference.
