University of Hawaii at Hilo, also known as UH Hilo or UH, is a public, coeducational university located in Hilo, Hawaii, United States. It was established in the year 1941 as Hawaii Vocational College. After a few name and status changes, it adopted its present name in 1970. UH Hilo is part of the university of Hawaii system. It offers degree and certificate programs in various Course Topics. The university is organized into the following colleges:

UH Hilo's athletic teams are nicknamed the Vulcans. The Vulcans participate in men's baseball, basketball, golf, cross country, soccer and tennis; and women's volleyball, softball, golf, soccer, cross country, and basketball.
