Southwest Baptist University, also known as SBU, is a private university located in Bolivar, Missouri, United States. It was established in 1878. The main campus spreads across an area of more than 150 acres. The university operates several campuses in Bolivar, Mountain View, Salem, and Springfield. SBU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse Course Topics. The university is organized into the following colleges:

SBU's athletics department supports several sports teams which are nicknamed the Bearcats. These teams compete in the NCAA Division II of the Mid-America intercollegiate Athletics Association. The Bearcats participate in various events including the Mid-America Collegiate Soccer League and the NIRSA (National Intramural Recreational Sports Association) Region IV.
