The men's sports teams of AU participate in basketball, baseball, track and field, football, cross country, golf, soccer and tennis. The women's sports teams participate in sports such as track and field, cross country, golf, soccer, basketball, softball and volleyball. The university's athletic teams are nicknamed the Ravens.
