It was established in the year 1967. BRCC is one of 23 community colleges of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). In addition to the main campus, BRCC operates satellite campuses in Harrisonburg and Fishersville, Virginia. The college offers occupational and technical associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. The college also offers four-year transfer programs and distance learning programs.
