University of Michigan–Flint, also known as UM Flint, is a public university located in Flint, Michigan, United States. It is one of the three campuses in the University of Michigan system. The university was founded in Detroit in 1817 by the governor and judges of the Michigan Territory. The Princeton Review, in its list of '2009 Best Colleges', has selected and ranked the school as the "Best in the Midwest. " UM Flint offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse Course Topics. It is organized into the following academic divisions:
