Coahoma Community College, commonly referred to as CCC, was originally established in 1924 as the Coahoma County Agricultural High School. Over the years, the name and status of the institute changed a number of times until it was finally named the Coahoma Community College in 1989. CCC now has a sprawling 99-acre campus in Coahoma County, Mississippi.

Coahoma Community College offers the Associate of Arts and the Associate of Applied Science degrees, as well as several certificate programs. The academic divisions of the college include:

  • College of Mathematics and Science
  • School of Nursing
The sports teams of Coahoma Community College are known as the Tigers. Students participate in football, basketball, softball, and baseball. There are also various students clubs and organizations such as the Phi Beta Lambda, El Circulo Espanol, Phi Theta Kappa (Alpha Omicron Pi Chapter), and The Black Literary Society. The student-published newspaper of CCC is called the “Coahoma Tribune”.
