Plymouth State University is a regional, comprehensive university located in Plymouth, New Hampshire. It is a part of the University System of New Hampshire. It was established as Plymouth Normal School in 1871 and now enrolls more than 4, 000 undergraduate and 1, 000 graduate students every semester. The university comprises of more than 15 academic departments. It offers a wide variety of degrees and programs. Plymouth State's athletic teams are nicknamed the Panthers and compete in the NCAA Division III's Little East Conference. The men's Rugby team won the Division III national championship in 2008. PSU's campus is home to several student clubs and organizations.
