Study at New Jersey City University


New Jersey City University is a public university. It was established in 1929 as the New Jersey State Normal School. After going through a couple of name changes, the school officially became a university in the year 1998. The university enrolls over 6, 000 undergraduates and more than 2, 000 postgraduates every year.

At NJCU, students can choose from a large number of degree and certificate programs. These include liberal arts, business, and health education, among others. There are also provisions for online learning and adult education programs. The classes are taken in 3 colleges:

The university's athletics teams are nicknamed Gothic Knights, and the team colors are green and gold. Men's sports include baseball, basketball, cross-country, soccer, indoor and outdoor track, and volleyball. Women's teams offered include basketball, bowling, cross-country, soccer, softball, indoor and outdoor track, and volleyball.
