Study at Columbia University

Columbia University is a private university and a member of the Ivy League. It was established in 1754. The main campus of the University is located in the Morningside Heights neighborhood in the Manhattan area of New York City. It also has several other campuses in the city.

Columbia has 3 undergraduate institutions as well as a number of graduate and professional schools offering degrees and courses in various fields of study. Columbia is home to undergraduate student broadcasting, WKCR-FM and CTV. The major newspaper of the University is ‘Columbia Daily Spectator. ’

The sports teams of Columbia are known as the Columbia Lions. They are a member institution of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. In October 2006, seventy six Columbia University affiliates were honored with Nobel Prizes for their work in chemistry, physics, medicine, literature, peace and economics.
