State University of New York
at Stony Brook, commonly known as Stony Brook University or SB, is a public
research university located in Stony Brook, New York, United States. The
university was founded in 1957. SB was one of ten national universities awarded
a National Science Foundation recognition award in 1998 for its integration of
research and education. It offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in
