High Point University, commonly referred to as HPU, is located in High Point, North Carolina, United States. It was founded in the year 1924 and known as High Point College. The degree-granting academic divisions of the university are:

HPU's sports teams are known as the Panthers. The men's teams participate in basketball, baseball, golf, cross country, track, and soccer. The women's teams compete in cross country, basketball, golf, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, and track. The university also supports a large number of student clubs and organizations including Alpha Kappa Alpha, Art Club, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Theta Kappa, and Photography Club.
