The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, also called UNC Charlotte, is a public, coeducational, research intensive university located in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The university was founded in 1946. The main campus is located in University City (Charlotte). The campus is spread across an area of 100 acres. UNC Charlotte offers over 80 baccalaureate programs, more than 60 master degree programs, and over 15 doctoral (Ph. D. ) programs through the following academic divisions:
