Study at Minot State University


Minot State University, also known as MSU or MiSU, was established in 1913 as the Minot State Teacher's College. Later on, it was renamed to Carnegie Master's I institution. After several other name and status changes, the university adopted its present name in 1987. The university campus is located in Minot, North Dakota, united states, and it is the third-largest public university in North Dakota. MSU offers more than 40 undergraduate and approximately 10 graduate degree programs in diverse Course Topics. MSU comprises of the following colleges:

  • College of Business
  • College of Education and Health Sciences
  • Graduate School
The athletic teams of MSU participate in the Dakota Athletic Conference. Their sports teams are known as the Minot State Beavers, and they compete in a variety of sports such as baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball, golf, and indoor/outdoor track and field.
