The University of Dayton, or UD, is a private Catholic university run by the Society of Mary. It is located in Dayton, Ohio. It was established in the year 1850. UD is among the ten largest Catholic schools in the United States and is the largest of the the Marianist universities in the country. The university offers more than 70 academic programs in diverse Course Topics. It is organized into the following academic divisions:
University of Dayton's official mascot is known as the Rudy Flyer and their sports teams are nicknamed the Flyers. They compete in the Atlantic Ten Conference.
