Study at Southwestern Oregon Community College


Southwestern Oregon Community College, often referred to as simply Southwestern or SOCC, was established in May, 1961. The institute has a sprawling 157 acre campus in Coos Bay, Oregon. SOCC's recent Enrolments have been more than 14, 000 students every year.

A number of associate's degrees in arts, general studies, science, and applied science, and certificate programs are offered by Southwestern Oregon Community College. Distance learning as well as transfer programs are also available.

The sports teams of Southwestern Oregon Community College are members of the Northwest Athletic Association for Community Colleges and the National Junior College Athletic Association. The athletics department sponsors teams in baseball, cross country, golf, basketball, soccer, softball, track, volleyball, and wrestling. The teams are known as the Lakers.
