The University of Portland, also known as UP, is a Roman Catholic, private university situated in Portland, Oregon, United States. It was established in the year 1901. UP is the only university in Oregon that has its schools and colleges located on one campus. The campus occupies an area of more than 120 acres. UP's athletics department sponsors several men's and women's sports teams. The University is a member of the NCAA Division and has won several championships.
