Western Oregon UniversityWestern Oregon University is a public liberal arts college located in Monmouth, Oregon. It was originally established in 1856 by Oregon pioneers as Monmouth University. The university was given its present name in 1997. WOU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse Course Topics. It is organized into the following academic divisions:
WOU is home to the Jensen Arctic Museum. The campus also houses a wide variety of student clubs and organizations. It hosts honor societies like Phi Alpha Deltathe, Phi Alpha Theta and Sigma Tau Delta as well.
