Willamette University


Willamette University, also referred to as WU, is located in Salem, Oregon, United States. It was founded in the year 1842 and is the oldest university in the Western United States. The campus spreads over an area of more than 65 acres. A wide variety of degrees are awarded to students through the following academic divisions of Willamette University:

Willamette University's sports teams are known as the Bearcats. The men's teams participate in a range of sports such as baseball, basketball, football, track and field, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, swimming, and rowing. The women's teams participate in basketball, rowing, soccer, softball, volleyball, track and field, swimming, cross country, golf, and tennis.
