Duquesne University, a private college in Pittsburgh, was established in October 1878. The college is situated on a 48 acre hilltop campus in Bluff neighborhood in Pittsburgh, and offers degree programs at doctoral, masters and professional levels. Duquesne University's sports mascot is the Dukes. Notable alumni include sports personalities Chip Ganassi, Leigh Bodden, Cumberland Posey, Mike James and Chuck Cooper and the famous reporter and writer for ESPN, Terry McGovern.
