Study at Gannon University

Gannon University is located in Erie, Pennsylvania, United States, and was established in the year 1933. It gained university status in 1979. The university enrolls more than 4, 000 students on an annual basis. It offers degrees and certificate programs in the areas of health, science, and engineering. The athletic teams of Gannon University are nicknamed the Golden Knights. The men participate in baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, and wrestling. The women participate in cross country, basketball, golf, softball, and volleyball. The alumni of Gannon University includes eminent figures such as Steve Grilli, former Major League baseball player; John Hornaman, member of the Pennsylvania House of representatives; and Thomas J. Gamble, president of Mercyhurst College.

Student dorms or apartments are common at Gannon. The school student athletes compete in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference competitions. Gannon offers athletic financial aid to more of its students than do most colleges.
