Lafayette College is a private, coeducational, engineering and liberal arts college located in Easton, Pennsylvania, United States. It was officially chartered in the year 1826. The institute was named after French military officer, General Lafayette. Classes began on May 9, 1832. The college sits on a 110 acre campus. More than 2, 000 undergraduate students enroll in Lafayette College every year. The Student Enrolment comprises of individuals from over 30 states in the U. S. and more than 50 countries worldwide.

The U. S. News and World Report's 2009 edition placed Lafayette College at the 35th position among all liberal arts colleges in the U. S. The college's athletics department is affiliated with the NCAA Division I. The teams are called the Leopards, and they participate in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, swimming and diving, track and field, field hockey, softball, fencing, and volleyball. The football, baseball, men's basketball and soccer, and women's lacrosse teams have won a number of National and Patriot League championships.

Half of math SAT scores of accepted students fell between 610 and 710.
