Penn State Worthington Scranton is a campus of the Pennsylvania State University, and was established in 1923. It began as the branch school of Pennsylvania State College in Scranton. The name of the school was changed to The Scranton Center in 1951. It was moved to its present location in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, in 1968 and came to be known as the Penn State Worthington Scranton.
