Study at The University of The ArtsThe University of the Arts, also known as UArts, was established in 1985. It was a created by the merger of the Philadelphia College of Art and Philadelphia College of Performing Arts. The university is located in Center City, Philadelphia. UArts offers over eight graduate degree and more than 15 undergraduate degree programs. Apart from the regular courses, UArts also provides programs of continuing education. Three quarters of students in 2007 had SAT verbal scores of at least 470. Half of math SAT scores of accepted students fell between 450 and 570. Many applicants are from out of state, an indication of the quality or special character of the school. Faculty The University of The Arts has a tenure system for senior faculty. Student Enrolment Students numbered 2, 396 in 2007 at the school. Student Life Full-time students are the norm at The University of The Arts.
