Study at Texas Southern University


Texas Southern University, or TSU, is located in Houston, United States. It was originally founded as the Texas State University for Negroes, on March 3, 1947 by the Texas Legislature. Before becoming a state university, Texas Southern University was owned by the Houston Independent School District (HISD) and had been known as the Houston College for Negroes. The main campus sits on 150 acres of land. The university comprises of the following academic divisions:
