Study at The University of Texas Pan AmericanThe University of Texas – Pan American, or UTPA, also known as UT-Pan Am, is part of The University of Texas System. It is located in Edinburg, Texas (Hidalgo County). It was founded in 1927. It offers more than 50 bachelor degrees and over 45 master degrees in diverse Course Topics. The campus is spread across an area of more than 280 acres. UTPA competes in the NCAA Division and is one of five schools, in the University of Texas System, that compete in Division I. It won the NAIA national men's basketball championship in 1963 under Coach Sam Williams. The official mascot of the university is the Bronc and the sports teams are known as the Broncs.
