Study at Liberty University

Liberty University is a Christian liberal arts university located in Lynchburg, Virginia. It was established as Lynchburg Baptist College in 1971 by Jerry Falwell, who was also the Senior Pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church. Liberty University is organized into various schools which include School of Law, School of Engineering and Computational Sciences, and a Theological Seminary. It offers more than 70 majors and specializations in various fields of study like English, philosophy and religion, worship and music ministry, business, criminal justice, education and nursing. The sports teams of LU are nicknamed the Flames and their official mascot is Sparky. They are a member of the NCAA Division I-AA level Big South Conference in more than 15 sports. Liberty has won the Sasser Cup six times.
