Study at Heritage University


Heritage University was established by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary in 1907. It was then known as the Holy Names College. It later became the Fort Wright College, and in 1982, moved to its present 23-acre campus in Toppenish, Washington. The same year, the institute was renamed the Heritage College. The university currently offers classes in 5 regional sites located in Moses Lake, Seattle, Tri-Cities, Wenatchee, and Yakima. Heritage University offers a vast number of associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in the fields of arts, science, social work, education, and teaching. Several certificate programs are also available. The academic divisions of the university include:

  • College of Education and Psychology
The students of Heritage University are involved in various clubs and organizations including the Accounting Club, Music, Drama, and Fine Arts Club, Native American Club, and Social Work Student Association. Students also participate in sports including soccer, basketball, softball, flag football, and volleyball.
