Study at Seattle Community College Central Campus


Seattle Central Community College, also referred to as SCCC, is the central campus of Seattle Community College. It was the first campus of the Seattle Community College system. SCCC is a coeducational, community college located in Seattle, Washington, United States. The College was established in 1902 as Broadway High School. It continued operating as a high school until the end of World War II. After the war, it was converted to a vocational and adult education institution for war veterans who wanted to receive a higher education. In 1946, Broadway High School was renamed to Edison Technical School. Twenty years later, in September 1966, the School started offering college-level courses and was re-christened as Seattle Community College.
