Study at Lawrence University


Lawrence University is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college, and is located in Appleton, Wisconsin, United States. It was established in 1847 as the Lawrence Institute and the classes started on November 12, 1849. The institution received its present name in 1964. The university campus spreads across 425 acres of land. The college is known for the plethora of degrees in liberal arts that it offers. The college fields more than 20 intercollegiate sports teams, nicknamed the Vikings. The official mascot is the Viking. The students participate in intercollegiate basketball, soccer, cross country, track and field, hockey, swimming and diving, fencing, tennis, etc. The students are also encouraged to participate in musical events and various other activities.
